“Teardrops in the Rain”

She’s been
crying teardrops in the rain
Everything gets washed away

No one notices any pain
Though the memories slowly fade
The heartache still remains
It’s a crying shame; teardrops in the rain.

She wanted him to
hold her and never let her go
Sometimes love got stronger, sometimes she didn’t know

Never thought he’d take her heart
Steal her love and walk away
But nothing would have lead her on more than if he stayed
It’s a crying shame; teardrops in the rain.

It’s never easy
letting go with loneliness to face

The damage to her innocence can never be erased

Watching her love
burn away to ashes from a flame
Nothing could have felt as bad and harder to explain.
