“Weather the Storm”

Sometimes I do things without thinking
twice
Make a bad choice and I pay the price
Out of the frying pan and into a fire
Without any net up on a circus high wire

But I know hard times
don’t last forever
They make good times feel even better
Life comes along, you need to be strong
It happens from the moment you’re born
Learn to weather the storm

I’m up early
morning ‘till late every night
Trying to earn a living; raise a family right.
Life’s not as simple as it used to be
I’m making ends meet just by the skin of my teeth.

Just when I think
things are going my way

If trouble comes along trying to ruin my day
Once in a while I stumble, but I’ll be ok.
